As the New York Giants held off the New England Patriots final drive to win the Superbowl, two of our hubs were facing off as well in the final seconds. Our hub that hails from the same area as the Giants (Newark) also held off to win the Battle of the Hubs. Each Newark pilot received a $500.00 bonus for the win. Newark predicted that the Giants would win 27-20 while Toronto predicted that the Patriots would win 16-15.

The winner of the football pool was Stephone Strong also of the Newark Hub. He picked the Giants to win by a score of 21-14.

FedEx Express Virtual Cargo typically sets the bar during online events that we participate in by having some of the largest groups fly. Recently during Torontos Flight to Fight Cancer Event FedEx Express Led the Way again. Now two of our pilots have set a new record. FDX645 Thomas Grillo Sr Captain and FDX978 Prince Johnson Sr Captain have racked up over a 1000 hours during the month of January to bring in 2012 with a bang. Circumventing the globe numerous times and participating in several events including the Toronto Event it seems they have been flying for the entire month. Certainly this was a challenge finding time with family and evading the virtual FAA. During the ZLA Poker Run Event FDX645 Thomas Grillo placed 5th with three of a kind to win a software award. Congratulations to Prince and Thomas on their remarkable feat.
